Tamara McGillivray
Tamara is the Principal Lead for the Imperial Oil Digital Business Transformation project. For two years, Tamara was the Lead of Carbon Credits Market Development and New Pursuits for Imperial / ExxonMobil Low Carbon Solutions organization responsible for strategy and project development on waste-based biofuels, carbon credits, and biogenic CO2. Prior to this, Tamara had one year of experience in the Biofuels Team with ExxonMobil Low Carbon Solutions in Houston. Tamara was responsible for building ExxonMobil’s 2nd generation bio feedstock portfolio with a focus on acquisition of woody biomass, municipal solid waste, and renewable natural gas. Prior to joining Low Carbon Solutions Tamara acted as the Lead for the Imperial Western Canadian Fuels Value Chain responsible for working with a team to guide profitability of the Strathcona refinery, while working alongside the canola (and other fats and oils) fed Strathcona renewable diesel facility team. During this time, Tamara worked with government on the advocacy of sustainable fuels approach, including both sustainable aviation fuels, and very low sulfur fuel oils/bio methanol for marine application. Tamara has 19 years’ experience with Imperial/ExxonMobil, and 8 years of experience with General Motors. She is a mama of three, in a dual career relationship with her husband Mike who works in the finance sector.
