Canada's bioeconomy organizations are exploring participation in a coordinated Canadian delegation and trade mission to the 8th edition of BIOKET. Please read on and complete to form below if you or your organization is interested in participating.
Canada’s bioeconomy organizations are exploring participation in a coordinated Canadian delegation and trade mission to the 8th edition of BIOKET (Bioeconomy Key Enabling Technologies) in Strasbourg, France, taking place March 9–11, 2027.
This mission is being organized in collaboration with:
Trade Commissioner Service of Global Affairs Canada – Paris
Trade Commissioner Service of Global Affairs Canada – Madrid
Bioindustrial Innovation Canada (BIC)
Innovation et Développement économique Trois-Rivières (IDETR)
Consortium de recherche et innovations en bioprocédés industriels au Québec (CRIBIQ)
The mission will provide Canadian companies and organizations with opportunities to:
Connect with European decision-makers
Participate in B2B meetings
Explore innovation and technology tours
Access site visits with leading bioeconomy organizations in the Grand Est region
Attend BIOKET 2027 conference programming
Participate in a pre-BIOKET virtual Spain market access program, providing insights into one of Europe’s fastest-growing bioeconomy markets and facilitating targeted business connections with Spanish companies, technology adopters, buyers of Canadian technologies, and potential innovation partners.
Prior to BIOKET, the Trade Commissioner Service in Madrid will deliver a virtual Spain market access program combining sector intelligence, targeted B2B meetings with potential buyers and innovation partners, and collaboration opportunities in commercialization and Horizon Europe projects.

Participation Fee: $3,600 CAD per co-exhibiting company, target is 16 co-exhibitors, first come first served.
The fee includes:
BIOKET conference admission
Canadian Pavilion exhibit space
Organized B2B meetings
Innovation and technology tours
Ground transportation for pre- BIOKET mission activities/site visits on March 8th
One entry per company to the BIOKET Banquet (additional banquet tickets can be purchased)
One speaking slot per co-exhibitor in one of BIOKET’s seminars or workshops.
Participation in the Spain virtual market access and B2B program.
This low Participation Fee (excluding travel expenses) is made possible thanks to $50,000 CAD supports from Natural Resources Canada and the Trade Commissioner Service of Global Affairs Canada.

February–Early March 2027: Virtual Spain market briefing and targeted B2B meetings coordinated by the Trade Commissioner Service in Madrid
March 6–7, 2027: Arrival in Strasbourg
March 8, 2027: Regional industry site visits organized by the mission partners
March 9–10, 2027: BIOKET Conference & B2B meetings
March 11, 2027: Innovation and technology tours organised by BIOKET
March 12, 2027: Return travel or optional additional meetings/tourism

Canadian companies and SMEs may be eligible to apply for funding support through CanExport. Applications are open until August 31, 2026, and early applications are encouraged as funding is competitive.
